Legislation is demanding that machines involved in the lifting of persons are subject to a regular and documented maintenance regime.
The newly released Australian Standards 2550:10-2006, Safe Use – Mobile Elevating Work Platforms, stipulates that “a preventative maintenance program shall be established”, “the inspection shall be carried out at no more than 3 monthly intervals”. It then goes on to state that “A periodic inspection shall be carried out… the inspection interval shall not exceed 12 months.”To ensure your machine meets its statutory requirements.
